Portland's Photogenic Parks

If you are a budding photographer from Portland, numerous places in the city provide excellent photo ops. And since nearly 16 percent of the city is comprised of park space, parks are not only good spots for photography; they are also generally accessible and inexpensive to visit.

Below are two of Portland’s parks that are a picture-taking paradise:

Portland Japanese Garden

Photographers love to visit Washington Park because interesting subjects are sprawled all over the 410-acre urban park. One of the best places to practice photography there is the Portland Japanese Garden. Once you enter the garden, point the camera anywhere, and you will be able to capture great pictures. Take note, though, of the rules, regulations, and fees that cover photography.

Mount Tabor Park

Portland lensmen who love capturing an image of the sunset regularly pay a visit to Mount Tabor Park because the sunset provides an amazing background to the bodies of water and foliage that can be seen in the place. But the sunset is not just the photo op subject that Mount Tabor Park is known for. Atop the summit is a picturesque view of the skyline of the greater Portland area, while the dormant volcano also gets photographers’ creative juices flowing.
